Everett
Everett is about 5 years old and is tri-colored. He lived with the same family for 4 years before he was given to another family who kept him for about 5 months before dumping him at a shelter. Fortunately, he was adopted by a family who cared for him until life circumstances drastically changed and they were no longer able to give him the time and care he needed. They wanted to make sure he found a good, basset-savvy family and decided BHRG was the best place for him to find that new family. He has visited a BHRG vet and is ready for adoption. Everett is the perfect addition to any family. He is one half full of life just like a puppy, and one half pure chill. He loves his basset brother and they rough house many times a day. When they aren't playing you can find them both sleeping on the couch or in his favorite spot outside. He loves being outside during the day. He loves toys but can't seem to refrain from tearing them up - he will steal all of your shoes so keep anything you like off the floor! He is fully house trained and can sit and go to his bed upon command. He is not sure about males BUT he is full of love and is a snuggle bug once he gets to know you. He is also great with kids and very gentle, but we know that farm life is not for this guy. My daughter says his eyes are like an angel's. Adoption Pending!

Thurston Howl
Thurston is a red and white boy who is around 3 years old. He is now getting settled in foster care, and here's what he has to say! "Hello! I'm Thurston Howl or TH to my friends. I am a young hound with lots of energy and a love of playtime. Fetching a ball and chasing toys around the house are among my favorite games. I also need a walk each day for my exercise. I can live with another dog but need a strong dog that can put me in my place. Otherwise, I can play a bit too rough, and I don't mean to be a bully. I can be a bit of a moody dog and do not like to be bothered when I am resting or sleeping. I do have a loud houndy bark that I use to show my displeasure with things that are not going my way or that are scary to me. I can also be over reactive to things that are not going my way. Every morning I get eye drops that I take for dry eye and will take for the rest of my life. If you think I would be perfect for you, let's set up a play date to meet in person."
